Christchurch was scheduled to start from Saturday morning in New Zealand and Bangladesh's third and final Test. Before Friday prayers on Friday, gunmen shot dead at two mosques in Christchurch, 49 people were killed.
One of those two mosques went to Al-Nur mosque to pray for the Bangladesh team players. Al-Nur Mosque near the Hagley Oval, where Bangladesh team was practicing. For a little while, the team was protected from the attack.
After the attack on the mosque, Bangladesh team manager Khaled Masud said that the team had gone near 50 yards of the mosque by bus. After seeing the bloody people coming out of the mosque they stopped.
After coming down from the bus, they came back from the Hagley park in the field. After returning to the hotel. And if they reached 3-4 minutes before, they used to stay inside the mosque.
After the horrific attack, the test was canceled. The following day the cricketers caught in the streets of Dhaka.
